("Dentaklik," "we," "us," and "our") is dedicated to providing a marketplace that empowers dentists to share their knowledge about the purchase, care, and use, of dental products and supplies. Our goals are to provide you the very best online service in the dental industry, with lowest possible pricing, industry leading transparency and ease of use. When you visit www.Dentaklik.com or any of our associated web properties such as blog.Dentaklik.com (together the "Site" or "Website"), you may share information with us that helps us achieve these goals. This Privacy Policy ("Policy") is meant to help you understand how we collect, use, and share the information you provide to us when you visit our Website.

The entire Dentaklik team is committed to the responsible collection and use of your information. Our Policy explains:
  • What information we collect and why we collect it;
  • How we use that information; and,
  • The choices you have when you visit our Website and buy products through our marketplace (the "Services").

Please review this Policy as your use of this Website means you have consented to this Policy. You should also read our Terms of Service which set out the contract between you and Dentaklik for the use of our Services.

1. The Information We Collect About You And How We Collect It.

This privacy policy covers our use of information that can or could be used to identify you ("Personal Information"). We need to collect and use certain Personal Information to provide the Services to you and fulfill the promises we make to you in the Terms of Service. More details about how we use the information is found below.

The information we collect falls into three groups: (1) the information that you may choose to voluntarily provide to us while using our Services (described below under "Information You Provide to Us" and (2) information collected automatically as a result of your use of our Services (described below under "Information Collected Automatically"); and (3) information collected from third parties (described below under "Information Collected From Others").

Information You Provide To Us

There are several circumstances in which you may choose to voluntarily provide certain Personal Information to us. For example:

When you sign up for our Services, you give us Personal Information voluntarily by providing it to us. That information includes but is not limited to the username you choose to use for our services, your name, address, and your Dental license number or DEA number.

You may also voluntarily give us Personal Information when you make a purchase through us, subscribe to our emails, newsletters, enter promotions, or communicate with us. Depending on which of these Services you use, that may include your name, address, phone number, email address, Dental license number or DEA number, and your product purchase/return/exchange information.

You may also voluntarily provide us with Personal Information if you fill out a form on our Site that requests such information (e.g., submitting a Take Down Request).

You may also voluntarily provide us with Personal Information when you send an email message to any Dentaklik.com email address published on our Site or when you use the Chat feature of our Site. When you use such features, we retain the contents of your messages or chats, your email address, and any information you provide to us through those communications such as your name, your contact preferences, and any response we send back to you.

Dentaklik engages with customers on multiple social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn). If you contact us on one of our social media platforms, request customer service via social media or otherwise direct us to communicate with you via social media, we may contact you via direct message or use other social media tools to interact with you. Your interactions with us are governed by this privacy policy as well as the privacy policy of the social media platform you use.

When you make a purchase using our Services, you will be required to provide a valid credit card number or other payment information. Currently, our payment processor is Stripe. Stripe uses and processes your payment information in accordance with its own privacy policy. We encourage you to read Stripe's policy. Importantly, neither Dentaklik nor its vendors will collect, use, or store the credit card number you provide when making a purchase on our site.

There may be other circumstances in which you chose to give us Personal Information. However, we ask that you never send us any highly sensitive Personal Information (such as protected health data or Social Security numbers) through our Site.

Information Collected Automatically

Like most web-based services, we (or our service providers) may automatically collect Personal Information from your browser or your device when you use the Site. For example we may collect and use your IP address, browser type, operating system, location information, the web page you were visiting before accessing our Services, the pages on our Site which you browsed or the features you used, and the time spent on those pages or features, the links on our Site that you click on, device and advertising identifiers, and your purchase history to understand who is using our Services and how.

Cookies and Other Information

Dentaklik use several different automated technologies to operate our Site, communicate with our customers, and ensure we are effective in our advertising. For example, we use "cookies," which are small text files that are placed on your computer or device by a Web server when you access our Services. We may place and access cookies and similar technologies on your computer or device, which are known as "first party cookies." Cookies may also be placed and accessed by third parties, which are known as "third party cookies" and are described below.

We use cookies to monitor aggregate usage and web traffic of our Services, customize and improve our Services, help you navigate our Services, deliver content specific to your interests and deliver advertisements to you.

We also use "web beacons" (also known as web bugs, pixel tags, or clear GIFS) which are small graphics with a unique identifier that may be included on our Services for example to deliver or communicate with cookies, to track and measure the performance of our Services, to monitor how many visitors view our Services, and to monitor the effectiveness of our advertising. The types of cookies described above may be "session cookies" or "persistent cookies." Session cookies are only stored on your device whilst you are using the Services, and are deleted when you log off from the Services or close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your device for a period of time after you log off from the Services or close your browser.

Third Party Cookies

Some cookies may be placed by third parties when you use the Services as some third party service providers that we engage (including third party advertisers) may place their own cookies on your hard drive or device. These cookies may provide information to those third parties about your browsing habits. Some also help to serve you with advertisements which are more relevant to you.

For example, our websites use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses non-operational cookies, which are text files placed on your computer to help the website analyse how visitors use the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. At our request, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating how the website is used, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. You can opt-out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising and customize Google Display Network ads using the Ads Settings Feature on Google. By clicking Ads Settings, you will be taken out of this Website and to Google where you can control the information Google uses to show you ads. Similarly, we use the Facebook pixel service. The Facebook pixel is an analytics tool that allows us to measure the effectiveness of our advertising by understanding the actions you take on other websites. We use it to make sure our advertising on Facebook is shown to the right people and is effective. When you visit our website and take an action, this triggers the pixel which reports this action to Facebook. You may opt out of the collection and use of your information for ad targeting by visiting the Digital Advertising Alliance's Consumer Choice Tool.

Dentaklik reserves its rights to use other third party cookies or tools not listed here in this Policy. Should you wish to know the cookies being used on our Site at any particular time, we encourage you to use free tools such as Ghostery that will provide you with a list of all cookies as well as the ability to block or prevent them from being used.

Cookies Settings

Although most browsers automatically accept cookies, you can change your browser options to stop automatically accepting cookies or to prompt you before accepting cookies. However, if you don't accept cookies, you may not be able to access all portions or features of the Services.

While you may disable the usage of cookies through your browser settings, Dentaklik currently does not respond to a "Do Not Track" signal in the HTTP header from your browser or mobile application due to the lack of industry standard on how to interpret that signal.

Information Collected From Others

In addition to the information you provide to us and the information we collect automatically, we collect data that's publicly available. For example, information you submit in a public forum (e.g., a blog, chat room or social network) can be read, collected or used by us and others, and could be used to personalize your experience. You are responsible for the information you choose to submit in these instances.

We also obtain information provided by third parties. For instance, we obtain information from companies that can enhance our existing customer information to improve the accuracy and add to the information we have about our customers (e.g., adding address information).

2. How We Use Your Personal Information

We use the personal information we obtain about you to:

  • Provision of the Services. Create and manage your Account, provide and personalize our Services, process purchases made through our Site, and respond to your inquiries
  • Order fulfillment. Fulfill and manage purchases, orders, payments and returns/exchanges; respond to requests for information about our products and services on our website, or to otherwise serve you; connect with you regarding customer service via our chat and support center, or on social media platforms; provide services such as a shopping list; conduct a transaction where we collect information required by law (for example, when purchasing anesthetics); and allow you to search for products and check prices, provide product ratings and reviews, track your orders, and update information.

3. Third-Parties We Share Your Information With

We will not share any Personal Data that we have collected from you or regarding you except as described below:

Information Shared With Our Services Providers.

We engage third party service providers to work with us to administer and provide the Services you use. As part of that they may process your Personal Information on our behalf. These third party service providers have access to your Personal Information only for the purpose of performing services on our behalf, in compliance with this Privacy Policy. The service providers we use help us to:

  • run, operate, and maintain our Site through third party platform and software tools;
  • run email campaigns;
  • perform website marketing analytics; and
  • provide assistance or tools for technical and customer support.

Some third party service providers may also collect information directly from you (for example, Stripe, our payment processor, may request your billing and financial information) in accordance with their own privacy policy. Such third party service provider does not share your financial information, like credit card number, with Dentaklik, but it may share limited information with us related to your purchase, like your zip or postal code.

Information Shared With Other Users Or Visitors To Our Site.

When you post product reviews or rate products on our Site, we will share certain Personal Information with other users or visitors to our Site. This Personal Information includes your user name and the contents of your product review or product rating.

Information Shared With Third Parties.

When you make purchases through our site, we share certain Personal Information with Dentaklik's vendors. This Personal Information is limited to what is necessary to allow the vendor to complete the order and includes your name, address, other contact information such as email address or phone number, the items you ordered that will be fulfilled or provided by that vendor, and any required licensing information. Dentaklik's vendors never receive access to your payment information. Additionally, we do not share any additional Personal Information with any third parties for their direct marketing purposes.

Information Disclosed For Our Protection And The Protection Of Others.

We cooperate with government and law enforcement officials or private parties to enforce and comply with the law. We only share information about you to government or law enforcement officials or private parties when we reasonably believe necessary or appropriate: (a) to respond to claims, legal process (including subpoenas and warrants); (b) to protect our property, rights, and safety and the property, rights, and safety of a third party or the public in general; and (c) to investigate and stop any activity that we consider illegal, unethical, or legally actionable.

Information Disclosed In Connection With Business Transactions.

Information that we collect from our users, including Personal Information, is a business asset. If we are acquired by a third party as a result of a transaction such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale or if our assets are acquired by a third party in the event we go out of business or enter bankruptcy, some or all of our assets, including your Personal Information, will be disclosed or transferred to a third party acquirer in connection with the transaction.

4. How We Protect Your Information

While no service is completely secure, we have a security team dedicated to keeping personal information safe. We maintain safeguards that are intended to appropriately protect against accidental or unlawful destruction, accidental loss, unauthorized alteration, unauthorized disclosure or access, misuse and any other unlawful form of processing of the Personal Information in our possession. We employ security measures such as using firewalls to protect against intruders, building redundancies throughout our network (so that if one server goes down, another can cover for it) and testing for and protecting against network vulnerabilities.

In order to keep your personal information accurate and complete, you can access or update some of it in the following ways:

  • If you have created a Dentaklik.com account, you can log in to review and update your account information, including contact, billing, shipping, and licensing information.
  • Email support@Dentaklik.com or call (800) 517-1997 M-F 8am-8pm ET with your current contact information and the personal information you would like to access. We will provide you the personal information requested if reasonably available.
6. How You Can Opt-Out Of Certain Uses Of Your Information
Telephone

If you do not wish to receive promotional telephone calls, Email support@Dentaklik.com or call (800) 517-1997 M-F 8am-8pm ET with your first and last name and telephone number to opt out. This opt out does not apply to phone calls necessary to complete a transaction you request (e.g., confirmation of delivery address).

Email

Dentaklik may send promotional emails such as weekly specials and other various products and services. If you don't want to receive this information, you can opt out at any time. Simply visit the "My Account" section of the site and under "Manage Email Subscriptions" simply click on the button which reads "Click Here to Unsubscribe".

You may select specific emails to receive. Please visit the "Dentaklik Email Subscription" page. Enter your Email address and click the "Subscribe to list" button. You will receive an email containing a link allowing you to modify your email preferences.

Cookies

Advertising Alliances Opt-out: In addition to adjusting the appropriate settings in your browser described above, many advertising companies that may collect anonymous information for targeted advertising purposes are also members of the Digital Advertising Alliance or the Network Advertising Initiative. Both of these organizations provide directions on how individuals can opt-out from targeted advertising by their members. This website is hosted and operated in the United States, and is not intended to subject us to the laws or jurisdiction of any state, country or territory other than that of the United States. Your information may be stored and processed in any country where we have facilities or in which we engage service providers, and by using this Website you consent to the transfer of information to countries outside of your country of residence, including the United States, which may have different data protection rules than those of your country.

9. Children

This Site is not directed toward individuals under the age of eighteen (18), and we request that such individuals do not provide Personal Information. Additionally, we do not knowingly collect or maintain Personal Information from anyone under the age of 18 through the Site. If we become aware that someone under 18 has provided us with Personal Information through the Site, then we will delete this information from our files. If you are the parent or legal guardian of a person under 18 who you believe has provided Personal Information to Dentaklik through the Site, please send an email to Dentaklik at support@Dentaklik.com to have that person's information deleted.

12. The California Consumer Protection Act ("CCPA")

The following section on CCPA, Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.100, applies to California residents who have certain rights regarding the personal information (as defined in the CCPA) collected by Dentaklik. It does not cover personal information not subject to the CCPA rights identified below, such as personal information we collect from our employees or job applicants. Likewise, the CCPA does not extend all the rights identified below to personal information collected from employees, owners, directors, officers, or contractors of businesses in the course of our provision or receipt of business-related services.

Definitions
  • "Personal information" or "PI" is information that identifies, relates to, describes, is capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular consumer or household.
  • "Consumer" is a California resident, a natural person who is a California resident for other than a temporary or transitory purposes, or someone who is domiciled in California but is currently outside the State for a temporary or transitory purpose.
  • "Sale" means selling, renting, releasing, disclosing, disseminating, making available, transferring, or otherwise communicating orally, in writing, or by electronic or other means, a consumer’s personal information by Dentaklik to another business or a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration.
California residents have the following rights under CCPA
  • Right to Opt Out. You have the right, at any time, to direct a company to not sell your PI. At this time, Dentaklik does not sell PI.
  • Right to Know or Right to be Informed. Subject to certain exceptions, you have the right to know what specific pieces of PI Dentaklik has collected about you in the 12 months preceding your request, along with the categories of sources of that PI, our business or commercial purpose for disclosing your PI, and the categories of third parties with whom we share your PI. You may make this request no more than twice per 12-month period.
  • Right to Request Deletion. You have the right to request deletion of the PI Dentaklik has collected from you, subject to certain exceptions under the CCPA including, without limitation:
    • a. Making sure you can receive products you have purchased if you would still like to,
    • b. Making sure deletion does not affect your obligations to suppliers,
    • c. Complying with Dentaklik's legal or compliance obligations,
    • d. Detecting fraudulent behavior or security incidents, and
    • e. Other reasons that are in connection with our lawful internal uses that are consistent with your relationship with us and the context in which the information was collected.
Exercising Your Rights under CCPA

You can exercise any of your rights under CCPA by going to Dentaklik.com/ccpa-compliance-form or by emailing us at support@dentaklik.com.

We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before responding to a request depending on the type of request you make.

  • Verification needed if you exercise your Right to Delete or a similar right that does not require the disclosure of specific pieces of information about you:
    • a. f you are writing to us from the email address associated with your Dentaklik account or transactions that Dentaklik has on file for you, then to complete the verification process, we will ask you to confirm the action you wish us to take before we proceed (such as confirming you would like us to delete your information).
    • b. If you are not writing to us from the email address associated with your Dentaklik account, then to complete the verification process, we will ask you to provide 3 specific pieces of data that we have on file for you, such as email address you used when making a transaction or billing information such as the last 4 digits of the credit card used or the billing address for a transaction.
  • Verification needed if you exercise your Right to Know or a similar right that does require disclosure of specific pieces of information about you:
    • a. If you are writing to us from the email address associated with your Dentaklik account or transactions that Dentaklik has on file for you, then to complete the verification process, we will ask you to both: 1) confirm the action you wish us to take before we proceed and 2) also provide a statement that you "declare under penalty of perjury that you are the person about whom the Right to Know request has been made."
    • b. If you are not writing to us from the email address associated with your Dentaklik account, then to complete the verification process, we will ask you to both: 1) provide 3 specific pieces of data that we have on file for you, such as email address you used when making a transaction or billing information such as the last 4 digits of the credit card used or the billing address for a transaction and 2) also provide a statement that you "declare under penalty of perjury that you are the person about whom the Right to Know request has been made."
  • You are also permitted to designate an authorized agent to submit certain requests on your behalf. In order for an authorized agent to be verified, you must provide the authorized agent with signed, written permission to make such requests or a power of attorney. We may also follow up with you to verify your identity according to the above methods before processing the authorized agent’s request.
  • If we are not able to successfully verify you according to the above methods, then we will not be able to comply with your request.

Dentaklik will not discriminate against you if you exercise your rights under CCPA. However, if your request requires us to delete, restrict or not share information, please be advised that this will inhibit some functionality of the Dentaklik's site. Any subsequent interaction with Dentaklik's site after deletion will require new requests for action on your data.
